We use digital X-rays to see any issues, or potential issues, that might not be easily seen with the naked eye. X-rays can show tooth decay, abnormal tooth/root positioning, abscesses, bone loss, tumors, and more. When we spot problems early, we can get your started on a more conservative, more affordable treatment!
What Are the Benefits of Digital X-Rays?
Digital X-rays are a vast improvement to the way X-rays are taken. The biggest advantage is that they emit significantly less radiation (up to 90% less!) so you can feel safe while we take scans. Another major benefit is that they provide enhanced images almost immediately. Not only does that mean you can enjoy shorter dental appointments, but we can make more precise diagnoses, faster than ever.
While incredibly beneficial to both you and our dental team, digital X-rays are also better for the environment. They don’t require chemicals for any film development or processing.
Isolite®
The Isolite® is a mouthpiece system that serves as a great all-in-one tool during dental appointments. The device comfortably keeps your mouth open so you don’t have to experience any soreness from opening your jaw while we work. It also has handy suction and light features that make it easy for our team to complete our work smoothly.

From our standpoint, the Isolite® gives us a clear, bright view of your mouth so we can better perform treatments. This also means appointments are done faster because we have the optimal space to work quickly. For you, the device lets you relax your jaw with its soft, customizable mouthpiece.
Intraoral Camera
An intraoral camera is a small device that looks a little bit like a wand or a big pen, and we use to take images of your mouth from different angles. Because the camera connects to a computer monitor or TV screen, you’ll be able to get a close view of your teeth that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.
What Are the Benefits of the Intraoral Camera?
With an intraoral camera, you become an active participant in your health care. Any time the dentist refers to a possible issue, say a cracked tooth, you’ll be able to see it for yourself so you can plan your treatment accordingly. There are no surprises here!
This tool also produces images immediately so you don’t have to wait for any processing. We can even use them to put together before and after pictures, so you can have a record of the dramatic results.
